Drugstore Deals October 18-24

First I didn't get out to go shopping last monday like I do because we were down in Utah. I finally got out after dropping my son off at school on Friday. I think I might wait until Friday's to do my weekly Walgreen's trips (oddly enough we don't have a Rite Aid). I am saying this because:

I haven't asked yet, but in Utah I know that my local Walgreens were stocked every Thursday. I just went on Monday because that's the day after the ad came out. Well medication was always out when I went to get it. So I changed all my transaction plans. So I went in on Friday and the medications I looked for every week were fully stocked. If your finding this problem you might want to check with your local Drugstore that your doing your deals to see when they stock as well. Not saying they'll have it, but you might have better luck. Also that means I might not be figuring out scenerios, but I look at them for you and there are many bloggers out there that I will list for you.

Last week was great and I hope all of you with kids in diapers got in on the diaper deal. I bought my daughter some at 16 cents a diaper! If you can get diapers for 20 cents or less, stock it up if you can. Especially Huggies. I am the first to admit I am a diaper snob and that is one thing we don't go cheap on. Store brands don't do it for us around here. So there is a huge huge secret that I hope you all took advantage on.

Now Drugstore Deals this week. Courtesy of Money Saving Mom::

My Walgreens Scenerio

I finally figured out my Walgreens deal for this week so I thought I would post it. I usually don't figure it out until 10 minutes before I run to the store. But I want to be more prepared tomorrow and I wanted to share because I will end up making money and getting everything free this week. Here's what I will do. I have 5 dollars left over from last week of RR (RR is register rewards that prints out at checkout). I don't get a newspaper and rely only on printables. OOP is out of pocket money.

EDIT:
Here is my actual Walgreens run. They were already out a lot of the items which is why I guess I should shop on Sunday or 7 AM monday morning. But oh well. Plus I got frustrated and I should have done better, but my 2 year didn't want to shop with me anymore.

Used 5 RR from last week
Should have used but forgot to use my coupon

RR's back 2 dollars
____
3rd Transaction wasn't going to do this but I messed up in the first one because I forgot to use the coupon. So I went back and bought another Vaseline.

Vaseine 6.99
Used Coupon -5.00
.49 cent filler item (because you can't use 2 coupon's when you purchase 1 item so I bought a candy bar)
Used 2 RR's from 2nd transaction

Paid 13.65 OOP
Got back 16 RR's, 7 to start off with next shopping trip

Huggies Diapers Deals

If you have a baby in diapers and you are a brand snob like I am when it comes to diapers then this is a great deal!!

Rite Aid is the place to get Huggies this week.

First go to Coupons.com to print up to two 1.50 off Huggies (you'll have to find it) and Smart Source for another two 1.50 coupons.

Print a 5 dollar off 25 dollar coupon for Rite Aid.

Purchase One to get a 2 dollar rebate:
• Mega Pack Diapers, Pull-Ups Training Pants or GoodNites Underpants.

Purchase One to get a 5 dollar Rebate:
HUGGIES® Diapers Mega Pack, 34 - 60 ct. • PULL-UPS® Training Pants Mega Pack, 33 ct. • GOODNITES® Underpants Mega Pack, 27 ct. • HUGGIES® Baby Wipes Refills, 184 - 232 ct. • HUGGIES® Little Swimmers® Swimpants, 10 - 12 ct.

Send in your reciepts with your Huggies to Caregivers and you will get .75 cents back per package!

So should we do a little math?

Let's say the mega packs are 20 dollars, get 2 dollars, plus 1.50 off. Your down to 16.50. Do this again but with the 5 dollar rebate. It's 13.50. Then add in your 5 dollars off 25. Down to 25 dollars. Send in your reciepts to get 1.50 back and you just paid 23.50 dollars instead of 40 dollars worth of diapers.

Obviously I don't know how much the mega packs are, but you can print two of those coupons per computer so I think it's a good time to stock up on diapers!
