I just got back from Albertsons. I know I swore off Albertsons, but I decided to give it a go one more time. I am still not impressed, but I am not turned off anymore, maybe it's my stores customer service, who knows. Here's some deals that I found.

Ritz munchables Pretzel chip 1 dollar coupon has reset, double the coupon with the price at 2 dollars and get a free box!

Buy 5 Kellogg Special K and get 2 gallons of milk free. {buy 3 get 1 gallon, buy 5 get 2 gallons, buy 7 get 3 gallons}. Use the special K coupons 1 dollar off granola and $1/1 or $2/2 Kellogg’s Special K Low Fat Granola from RP 3/28

I was excited to use the buy 1 veelveta shells get 1 free coupon because then you get 1.50 catelina for every 4 you buy. Um nope, she wouldn't let me use mine because there wasn't a barcode at the top there was a fill in amount. So I will use it at Walmart, although I still bought them and got the Catelina.

Building Your Food Storage

This is a good month to build your food storage because Smith's is having a case lot sale that will last for two weeks. Here's some highlights from it, always check expiration dates and make sure you'll be able to use it within the expiration date though!

My Albertson Shopping Trip

A lot of my neighbors shop at Albertsons. I had double coupons from the paper so I decided last night we would try there for shopping. We needed a ton of groceries too. It was a wasted trip, I honestly felt like I would be pouring money down the drain shopping there. And some things we needed I did buy a little because I didn't want to go to another store and I needed to buy them so I did feel like I was pouring money down the drain.

The sale price on the tyson chicken I usually get was 2 dollars more than the regular price at Walmart. I had a 1 dollar off coupon and even using the doubler would only go down to the regular price so I saved it for Walmart's regular price so I could still save 1 dollar.

The honey bunches of oats I buy are 2.50 at Walmart regular price. They were on sale at Albertsons for 4 dollars. Are you kidding me? I didn't pick up the milk my husband did and he got one because he said it was 50 cents more than Maverick's prices. Which when we don't want to run to the grocery store just for milk we run to Maverick because it isn't far and I cringe because it is a lot already.

There was a ton more. I did use 2 doublers. You can use 3 doublers a time and they have to be on coupons 1 dollar or less and they don't say you cannot double.

So yes now you know my secret I shop at Walmart and it's because I have compared prices. I only shop at Smith's when they are having a Mega Sale. Because otherwise their prices are outragous and more than Walmart's prices.

My next experience I want to try is Winco all my neighbors love it and since we never had one in Utah I'd love to try it. So I need to venture there soon and blog about it.

Smiths Mega Sale

I finally made it to the mega sale and I wanted to post about it after I went, which is why I meant to go on Tuesday when it came out and I didn't go until today. So I am so sorry I am behind and then everything got put away and I didn't take any pictures. But I saved 57 percent off my grocery bill! And I will be going back tomorrow because they were out of the quaker rice snacks that were 50 cents so I am hoping they will stock back up, plus I need to get the dollar pop and $1.50 dreyers ice cream, because I don't eat it so I wanted my husband to pick out the flavor.

My total came to 152.69 dollars before the mega events, then the sale items kicked in and it came to 93.14. After all my coupons my total came to 67.58 dollars and I got 50 items.

Kroger Sale

Your local Kroger aka Smith's/Fred Meyer/Smith's Marketplace is doing the mega sale this week! I love this sale! It's buy 10 items and get 5 dollars back. Match it with coupons and save tons of money!! Last time I did this I saw my total was almost at 300 dollars and after all coupons and 5 dollars back it was 170! We had two carts full of food, I know I buy a lot when we go out because I hate going grocery shopping, but for a family of 5 that lasts us quite a long time.

Here's the next sale I will probably be hitting soon thanks to Mommy Snacks for listing it all. The sale is on frozen items this week I love the Tyson Chicken and will be stocking up on that for sure (we love the orange chicken easy meal idea when you don't want frozen pizza night ;, goes great with the success rice which has had a coupon out the last 2 months, but I can only find it at Walmart so far for .69 cents after coupon)! Note the 3 limit this time, so if you have more than 30 qualifing items you'll need to do two transactions to get more savings and don't forget to print all your coupons and load them on your Smith's card!

Mega Sale Kroger Stores

Kroger Stores is having another Mega Sale this week, buy 10 items and get 5 dollars back. Thanks to Mommy Snacks has the whole list of sales and she tells you what coupons to use to make it an even better deal!


Huggies are on sale for 8.99. Combine them with huggies coupons, the 5 dollars off each 10 dollars (this means you can buy any 10 items in the sale you don't have to buy 10 huggies packages), and send them into the caregivers for a .75 cent rebate back per package. Great deal!

Grocery Deal

This week Smith's and Smith's Marketplace (Kroger brand stores in your area, check here to see your store available) are doing a Mega Sale! They are giving you 5 dollars for every 10 items you buy that qualify! There are specific items, but there are also coupons with them so combine them and you can get a great deal.

Also my Smith's does the P&G coupons which you go on to the site (look on the sidebar of the blog) load up the coupons available onto your Smith's grocery card and it automatically will take off the coupons when you swipe you card at checkout so you don't have to remember or clip coupons!
